The software, the Beatles and the people

The software, the Beatles and the people

Software development like you’ve never seen before

The software is the song of the developers.

To explain this metaphorical phrase, let’s take theexample of the Beatles:

those who know music know that the English band was one of the most incredible on a technical level, always looking for perfection, a continuous study to find the most innovative solution possible, coming to compose songs that on the scores approach mathematical equations.

But do you really think that it was only talent and years of study that led them to be probably the most loved band in the history of music?

Any type of successful service or product (as in this case a song) is born from the emotional, empathic and creative part of those who create it even before the technical, rational and mathematical one.

It is the awareness of being people and turning to people that creates wonder.

Do you think that †œYesterdayâ € is a masterpiece because it was created “only†through the multiple and objective musical skills of Paul McCartney and John Lennon sitting, cynical in a studio like machines? No, Yesterday is a masterpiece because those who created it had the full awareness of turning to themselves and to those who needed “a place to hide” after a disappointment of love. It is a masterpiece because sound and words perfectly reflect the meaning of “empathy”: without judging, they managed to enter into the sensations of that part of the audience to which they referred and to satisfy, even for just 2 minutes of song, their need.

Successful software has the same mechanism as a musical composition, they are our songs: by confronting ourselves and those in front of us, we are able to satisfy the needs of both by combining this irrational and empathetic side, the objective one of the skills and the realization processes.
